So two choices, pack up and go home or remain positive and stick it out. Luckily he chose the latter and thanks to fellow competitor Martin Thrower he was able to set up his pit garage within Martin's large awning…
The Weather was very hot, one of the hottest days on record so it was going to be a big test for man and machine to withstand temperatures that had soured past the 30's….

Coming around the chicane on the first lap the Ducati went down hard, dumping Andy in the middle of the track and severely winding him…
Andy said: “It’s been a very long time coming, slowly catchy monkey and all that,” he told UK Clubsport. “It’s been a learning curve going from an in-line four to a v-twin Ducati.
First session was nice and steady with just a few laps to check the bike over, all good. Throughout the second and third session the throttle was twisted tighter as the confidence built and the Ducati came back to her old self,
