Gav Prosser and Alan Sainsbury joins Andy to make up the Team Misfit #3 entry this weekend for the season finale at Donington park.

Gav normally rides for Team Trackday Tyres and their account of the satisfyingly successful day follows;

Well what can I say about the endurance other than “WAW!” After all 3 rider had gone out for qualifying we were P31 out of the 46 teams on the grid. Not too bad at all!

Gav finished sprint race No1 just before the endurance so Alan was up to do the start and off he went like a scalded cat, making up place after place and getting us up to P19 overall and P8 in class by the end of his stint.

Gav is out next for his 30 mins and reeled off consistent laps, picking up more places and P14 overall, P7 in class. 25 mins in and the rain started. On every corner there was someone in the floor, so with everyone pitting and knowing I only had 5 mins to go I managed the light rain and kept going. It started getting heavier and I signaled to pit at the same time the “30 IN” board was out. Perfect timing.

Alan, with wets fitted, headed out as the rain stopped and the track was drying. I thought “Ahh no. Disaster! We will need to pit again soon,” however Elaine told us from pit wall that her phone was showing more rain coming so we left Alan out. On the button, 10 mins later it rained. Alan put in an absolute stormer of a stint getting us up to P8 and P4 in class. 38 mins to go and Alan signals he's coming in to hand over to Andy.  He is fitted with wets, fuelled up and although suggested he was doing a fast 20 mins and swapping with Gav for the last 20, he was told in no uncertain terms, “Do not come in unless you have an issue! You stay out for the full stint.” And what a stint Andy put in. Fair-Play in horrible conditions; he reeled off lap after lap in fantastic times and left us sat in P9 and P4 in class with 10 mins to go.  Someone somewhere was looking down on us as the team in P3 pushed too hard for the conditions and dropped us nicely into 3rd position. The last 10 minutes were the longest I've ever experienced but Andy hung on in there and we took the podium and P9 overall.

A massive well done to Alan and Andy who rode unbelievably and also Team Misfired #33 taking a fantastic P10 in class.
